3228491 - "No authorization to start the UI" error raised for Define Serial Number Profiles in Central Business Configuration- SSCUI 103636

Symptom

When trying to access SSCUI 103636 / Configuration Activity Define Serial Number Profiles there is an error raised:

No authorization to start the UI

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud
  • SAP Fiori
  • Central Business Configuration (CBC)

Reproducing the Issue

In Configure your solution:

  1. Open the app 'Manage Your Solution'.
  2. Go to 'Configure Your Solution'.
  3. At the left top Search box enter 103636
  4. Click the found application area
  5. You will be able to see the Configuration Steps (SSCUIs).
  6. Go to the right of the screen and choose the button ‘Configure’ for "Define Serial Number Profiles".

In Central Business Configuration:

  1. In Project Experience click tab Configuration Activities
  2. Search for Define Serial Number Profiles or 103636
  3. Click the entry found 
  4. Click button "Go to Activity"
  5. In a new browser window the authorization error will be raised

Resolution

 To configure the SSCUI 103636 - "Define Serial Number Profiles", the business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_SCM_EWM_PC has to be added to the Business role and assigned to the Business User.
