3229209 - Error "PaymentMethod cannot be empty" occurs during updating work assignment in APP Import Employees

You are using import type "Employee and Employment Import" to update work assignment details in the APP Import Employees.

You got an error "PaymentMethod cannot be empty" after uploading employee and employment template files.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Open the app "Import Employees" and select Import Type "Employee and Employment Import".
2. Select the delimiter. 
3. Choose Download Templates.
4. Fill in the template based on the information given in Help for Filling In Downloaded Templates.
5. Save the files and upload files.

Payment information is mandatory for internal employees - BUP003.

There is no payment method information filled in the Employee template.

There are two similar templates regarding Employee. One is EmployeeDataTemplate for the import type "Employee and Employment Import", and the other one is BasicEmployeeDataTemplate for the import type "Basic Employee Import".

The field Payment Method is in the EmployeeDataTemplate. Please double check if you uploaded the correct template.

Then confirm that you have entered one of the following payment methods.

T - Bank Transfer

C - Cheque.
