3229469 - Long Waiting Time After Each Manual Business Partner Deletion

You are deleting business partners in the Information Lifecycle Management work center.  After each deletion, you need to wait several seconds before the next business partner can be deleted. You are wondering what leads to this delay and if it can be avoided. Is there a faster solution than manually editing each record? You are wondering if there is an option to automate the deletion process.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Open Information Lifecycle Management > Business Partner
2. Select a business partner with Disclosure Status shown as Disclosed
3. Click View and Delete Disclosed Data.
4. Delete Disclosed Data
5. Confirm Deletion of Business Partner
6. You need to wait before the next business partner can be deleted, otherwise errors may occur.

Each business partner deletion starts an according deletion run in the backend. Only after the completion of  this run, the next deletion shall be started.

This is the expected system behaviour, and there is no option to perform a mass deletion of selected business partners.  In the future, SAP development might verify options  to disable the button or notify the user with an error message, in case there is another deletion run in progress.

Please wait before you try to delete the next business partner. You may refer to the application log to verify related errors / in case a deletion run is not completed.
