Symptom

  • An isql or other connection type fails with error message:

    CT-LIBRARY error:
      ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library error: Net-Lib protocol driver call to connect two endpoints failed

  • From an OS host, a ping command to ASE host and port fails to reach the ASE server
