3230590 - Error: NIECONN_REFUSED(-10) for a RFC Connection Type "G" through a SAProuter/s

Symptom

In SM59 --> Connection Test the following error appears:

Connect to <destination hostname>:<port nr> failed: NIECONN_REFUSED(-10)

The RFC Connection is Type G (HTTP Connection to External Server) and is defined as:

Target Host : "H/<SAProuter hostname>/S/<port nr>/H/<destination hostname> (there could be one or more SAProuters involved)
Service No: <port nr>
Path Prefix :

When looking in SAProuter trace file (dev_rout) & SAProuter log (saprouter.log) files there are not errors.
