Error message "Specify a value for variable ..." is displayed when select Version in BW or S4HANA live model.

SAP Ananlytics Cloud 1.0

1. Open a model which is using BW or S4HANA live connection.
2. Click on "Version Information".
   
3. Select a dimension in Select "Version ID Column".
   
4. Error message "Specify a value for variable ..." is displayed.
   

The selected dimension has a mandatory variable in the Bex Query or CDS view without any default value. 

This is a limitation that no way to set a value for the mandatory variable in this scenario. As a workaround, set a default value to the mandatory variable in the definition of the query or CDS view. During creation of a new story, you can change the default value to any other values.
