Symptom
A journal entry created as a result of a Lease Posting Run has Transaction Currency Amount empty.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the General Ledger work center.
- Go to the Journal Entries view.
- Find and open Journal Entry ID AAA (AAA means the journal entry ID).
- Under Line Items section, select any line (either debit or credit posting) and notice that the Transaction Currency Amount is empty.
Remark: the behavior described above is valid for both journal entry types 00150 - Lease Initiation and 00151 - Lease Clearing.
Cause
When the company currency is ABC, and the lease-in contract is created with transaction currency DEF, both Initiation and Clearing runs are designed to only post in company currency. This was a design decision at the time of introducing the functionality.
ABC means the company currency.
DEF means the currency defined in the respective lease-in contract.
Resolution
This is the current system behaviour.
