3231664 - Horizon Theme / Appearance Available in ByD with 2208 Release

With 2208 release upgrade, 'Horizon' theme is available in the SAP Business ByDesign systems. This KBA is to provide additional details about this appearance

2208 upgrade only impact the users using default Belize theme right now. If some users have changed their theme, they will continue using their old theme.

2. How to change the theme only for a particular user?

1. Go to My Settings
2. Appearance tab
3. Select a theme
4. Save the changes
5. Refresh the page / Logoff - login

3. Is it possible to change the Appearance on Company level? / We want to pick key Theme for all users in Key User adaptation

No, Theme in Company settings may not suit for all Users. Because, each users have the flexibility to change and use available themes

4. How to change the background color?

1. Start Personalization Mode
2. Right-click either inside the content area or in the personalization panel on the right-hand side of the screen.
3. Select the value help to choose the color
4. Save the Changes

5. Names of the Themes are always in English irrespective of logon language, why?

This is correct behavior and there is no translation for the theme options in Bydesign.

6. After 2208 release upgrade, Horizon is set as default theme. Now the customer wants to set back to Belize. In this case, after 2211 upgrade, will it again default to Horizon? What will happen if they continue to user Belize?

If users change the theme back to Belize, it will still be Belize after 2211 upgrade.

7. After 2208 release upgrade, Horizon is set as default theme. Now the customer wants to set back to Belize.  Will there be any impact in the future if our clients continue to use the traditional theme, Belize?

We currently support both Horizon Morning (default) and Belize (optional) themes.

In the future all enhancements would be shipped on the Horizon theme, starting with Horizon Evening Theme being made available in addition to the Horizon Morning theme.

Kindly note, SAP can decide to deprecate the other themes over the coming releases and hence it is recommended that users stay with the latest offering. Currently we do not have a defined timeline for such a deprecation.
