3231762 - datachange() may return 0 for tables after loading a database dump - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The datachange() built-in function may return 0 for most of the tables on a database after:
    • Loading a database dump file to the database.  
    • Even though just before making the database, the datachange built-in function returns a positive datachange count as a percent of the number of rows for those tables
  • This behavior is observed on tables which do NOT have an identity column from ASE 16.0.
