The following behavior occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC):
- You copy and paste multiple cells.
- You notice that the pasted values are not the same as the source values by the following ways:
- Another measure is calculated base on the copied/pasted cell. The value of that measure is different.
- In the data foundation view, the value of the target cell and the source cell is different. For example, the value of the source cell is stored as 20.1234567. The value of the target cell is stored as 20.

- SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2022.8.17
Reproducing the Issue
- Open an SAC planning story.
- Select multiple cells.
- Copy and paste the cells.
Cause
The following table shows the current behavior of copy-pasting and the new behavior which will be released in 2022.QRC03.

In case of copying the overall values, the target cell will have the same value as the one shown in the story – but not necessarily the one shown in the table cell but the most detailed value available in the story. Please see the attached screenshot.

Resolution
The default behavior is shown in the table in the Cause section.
If you want to paste overall values only, you can select Edit -> Paste Overall Values Only from the toolbar. You can also right-click and choose Paste Overall Values Only from the context menu.
