3232122 - Extension Field 1 and Extension Field 2 Missing from Employee Times Web Service

You are working with the ManageEmployeeTimeIn web service and have noticed that SAP provided fields Extension Field 1 and Extension Field 2 cannot be found in the web service's request.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
2. Access the Communication Arragement work center view.
3. Select the communication scenario named Time Administration Integration.
4. Click the Edit button.
5. Navigate to the Technical Data tab.
6. Click the Edit Advanced Settings button.
7. Select the Manage Employee Actual Times service in the Inbound Communications table, then click Download WSDL.
8. Open the WSDL in a API testing software (such as Postman).
9. You can see that Extension Field 1 and Extension Field 2 are not available in the request.

Extension Field 1 and Extension Field 2 are currently not part of the ManageEmployeeTimeIn web service.

Hence, this is is the expected system behavior.

System developers are working to provide web service support for Extension Field 1 and Extension Field 2 in a future product version.
