3232316 - "AADSTS75005: The request is not a valid SAML 2.0 protocol message" when attempting to create a Live Data Connection to SAP Universe with SAML SSO in SAP Analytics Cloud

When attempting to create a Live Data Connection to SAP Universe with SAML SSO, using BOE Live Data Connect 3.4, the following error message is shown;

• "Sign in - Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in. AADSTS75005: The request is not a valid SAML 2.0 protocol message or contains invalid or potentially dangerous characters."
• Username and password (secEnterprise) authentication is working fine
• Logging in to SAP Analytics Cloud using the same IdP is working fine

Steps were followed as in the guide - Defining the trust between the Identity Provider and SAP BusinessObjects Live Data Connect

• SAP BOE Live Data Connect 3.4+
• SAP BI Platform
• Microsoft Azure AD as Custom SAML Identity Provider
