3232341 - AskHR vs. SAP JAM - Search feed is giving different number of results

You put the same keyword in search within SAP JAM and AskHR and you are getting different number of results

• SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
• Employee Central Service Center (AskHR)
• SAP JAM

1. Type same keyword for search in SAP JAM and AskHR
2. You observe different number of search results returned

The root cause is that when searching in SAP JAM directly, all search types are included.

When searching from AskHR side, an API request is made to SAP JAM & it supports only the below search types:

• photos
• pages
• blog_entries
• links
• comments
• forums
• polls
• content
• tools
• articles
• group_wall_comments
• feed_comments
• wall_comments
• messages
• tasks
• events
• ex_objs
• videos
• audios
• images
• blog_posts
• wiki_pages
• business_tools

"Overview" search types are not included when searching from AskHR, therefore the results of both searches may be different.

This is expected behavior. 

Please log an enhancement request with your business justification if you require both searches to be aligned
