3232613 - Mail for Purchase Requisition Approval result is sent in English but not Japanese.

Symptom

Workflow notification can't be sent to the email inbox in JP even if EN has been maintained.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Maintain the EN and JP mail template in the APP 'Email Template'.
  2. Configure the Correspondence language as 'JP'.
  3. Logon the system with JP language.
  4. Workflow notification is sent to the email inbox in EN not JP.

Cause

With the upgrade to CE2202, the language used for the email has changed from the logon language to the communication language. In case the communication language of the user is initial, English is used.

Resolution

A software correction will be deployed on all customer systems with the CE 2302 release.

Current workaround: Trigger any updates of the employee.
