3232614 - SUM error Could not load class com.sybase.jdbc42.jdbc.SybDriver when JAVA system upgrade - SAP ASE for BS

Symptom

  • Below error reported when running SUM tool to update JAVA stack:

com.sap.sdt.j2ee.tools.feimport.FunctionalElementsImporterException: Cannot import file /notsaved/SUM/sdt/tmp/sap.com~product~lm-model-nw.sda. See next messages for details.
com.sap.sdt.sldeploymentlib.SLDeploymentException: CIM_ERR_FAILED: Could not load class com.sybase.jdbc42.jdbc.SybDriver with class loader com.sap.sdt.util.misc.FileClassLoader

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sybase.jdbc42.jdbc.SybDriver

  • JDBC driver has been re-installed per KBA 3073816 after SUM got error.
  • All actions listed in KBA 3073816 have been taken but it does not help. Re-run SUM still report error at the same phase.
