3233981 - Dictionary failing to Export in Signavio Process Manager

Symptom

  • User wants to export whole Documents category with its subcategories but there is no feature for this.
  • User tries to export the entire dictionary. No export is produced.

Environment

Signavio Process Manager Version 16.3.2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Process Manager
  2. Navigate to Dictionary
  3. Click 'Import/Export' > Export Excel
  4. Notice that some options are greyed out (Export from selected initial, search result)
  5. Try to Export entire category
  6. Notice that subcategories are not exported
  7. Export whole dictionary
  8. Notice if export is successful or not
  9. Dictionary was exported successfully for me

Cause

  • A security feature on user's browser was blocking the export

Resolution

  • Disabling user's browser security feature enabled exports
  • The feature to export dictionary categories along with subcategories has been previously requested. Awaiting an update that will include this feature.
