3234009 - Msg 17471 incorrectly reported when trying to drop a device - SAP ASE

Symptom

When trying to drop a device, an incorrect name was supplied - the error given did not reflect the actual issue:

sp_dropdevice non-existing-device
go
Msg 17471, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'ase16', Procedure 'sp_dropdevice', Line 112:
The device name supplied is not a normal database device.
(return status = 1)
