3234547 - Attachment Error Trying to Make Changes to Job Information

Symptom

When trying to update a record or insert a new one, "Please enter the correct attachment ID. The provided value 0 doesnt exist in the system." or "Please enter the correct attachment ID. The provided value -1 doesnt exist in the system." error is displayed.

 
 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

Sample scenario:

  1. Go to Employee Profile;
  2. Scroll down to Job Information;
  3. Edit an existing record or create a new one;
  4. Try to save the changes;
  5. Get the error: "Please enter the correct attachment ID. The provided value 0 doesnt exist in the system." or "Please enter the correct attachment ID. The provided value -1 doesnt exist in the system."
     
     

Cause

This is a data issue but the root cause is still being investigated by Engineering Team.

As soon as there are news on their progress this article will be updated.

Resolution

The available workaround is to temporarily disable Centralized Services to proceed with the necessary changes.

Another solution is to import Job Information in Full Purge mode - reference KBA 2317955.
