3234585 - Services not starting due to expired Orbeon License - SAP Commerce Cloud

Symptom

When using Orbeon, some services (most usually Storefront and Backoffice) are kept in "Not Ready" status in Commerce Portal during deployment or after restarts on Services tab:

And checking the logs of this pod on Kibana shows the following error related to Orbeon/yForms:

  • ERROR Version - Orbeon Forms <version number> PE: Subscription ended on: <date> GMT, Orbeon Forms build dates from: <date>. Please make sure a proper license file is placed under WEB-INF/resources/config/license.xml.
  • ERROR Version - Orbeon Forms <version number> PE: License has expired on <date> GMT. Please make sure a proper license file is placed under WEB-INF/resources/config/license.xml.
