In this article learn how to move custom fields in a 'quote' to a different tab. 

Details:  If you wish to move the custom fields visible in the 'Quotation' Tab to any other tab or a new tab, follow the below listed simple steps.

Solution/Workaround: 

Creating a new tab:

1. Log in to your CPQ account and navigate to Setup

2. Go to General > Tabs

3. Click on 'Add New' to create a new Tab. Input Tab name and define rank.

4. Now go to Setup > Quotes > Custom Quote Tabs, and click on Add New.

4.a Tab name - select one of the existing tabs or the one you created using Step 3. 

4.b Type - You can choose between two options: Implementation File or IFrame.

4.c Implementation File - leave it blank

4.d Define rank

You will now see a new tab in the quote with tab name as 'Custom Field_Test'

Moving a custom field from 'Quotation' tab to new tab:

1. Go to Setup > Quotes > Custom Fields.

2. To edit an existing custom field click on the pencil icon next to it or for a new custom field click on Add New

3. Change the tab from 'Quotation' to tab name of your choice.

4. You should now be able to see the custom fields under the new tab created. (Clear cache and try if you dont see)

Note* Rank - Determines the order that this tab will fall in relation to the other tabs. Lower ranked tabs will be displayed to the left while higher ranked tabs will be displayed after.
