3234775 - When opening a new quote from C4C to CPQ, missing data in custom fields in CPQ sales quote

Symptom

  • When opening a new quote from C4C to CPQ, the custom fields in CPQ quote are blank.
  • You might see errors in CPQ Logs which show that there is an issue with a custom field in CPQ, but there would be nothing wrong with that custom field.

Environment

SAP CPQ all versions.

Resolution

  • To resolve this issue, ensure that the below 2 points are verified and that should fix the issue:
  1. Make sure that all the custom fields listed in the payload are mapped (present) in CPQ under Setup -> Quotes -> Custom fields.
  2. Make sure that all of these custom fields have Permissions set to Editable as shown in the screenshot below.
