This article is to show you how to map CPQ Custom Fields to Salesforce Custom Fields using CRM Custom Field Mapping.

Mapping for Custom Fields can be done in the Custom Fields Mapping administrative section; which allows you to send information from CPQ to Salesforce and vice versa.

In this example, we'll create a new CPQ custom field (Jason Test) and map it to Salesforce custom field (Jason Test). In this example Salesforce Custom Field has already been created in Salesforce.

1. First, create a new custom field in CPQ. You may do so by accessing your "Custom Field" section in your admin setup.

2. Once on the "Custom Fields" page, click on "Add New" to create a new custom field.

3. Fill in the highlighted areas to create a new custom field.

For our example, we'll fill in the following values:

Name: Jason Test

Type: Free Form

Tab: Additional Info

4. Once the custom field is created, you are now ready to map this field. In order to do so, you will need to access the "Custom Field Mappings" section in CPQ.

5. On "CRM Integration Setup » Custom Fields Mappings" page, click "Add New" to create a new custom field mapping.

6. On the following page, fill in the highlighted areas to complete the mapping.

For our example, we'll fill in the following values:

Event: QuoteCreate

CPQ Fields- Custom Quote Fields: Jason Test

CRM Field - CRM Object: Opportunity Jason_Test__c

7. Click on "Save" when finished.

8. Now, test to see if field is mapped correctly.

Check the value being pulled from Salesforce:

Create a new quote on Salesforce and enter CPQ. Once you're on the Quotation Page", select "Additional Info" tab to see your custom field:
