This article shows how to switch between Old design and Responsive design in CPQ.

Details:

There are two different UI designs in CPQ: Old design and Responsive design(New). So how does a User switch to brand new Responsive design from old design? And how does an admin user setup Responsive GUI in the particular domain/tenant? We have solutions for the above.

Solution/Workaround:

Admin user can setup Responsive GUI in the particular domain/tenant by going to SETUP -> General -> Applications Parameters -> Use responsive GUI -> TRUE. Use responsive GUI- When set to TRUE, users will work on a Responsive GUI platform with no ability to return to an old GUI platform; when set to FALSE, users will work on an old GUI with no ability to work on Responsive design. Once Use responsive GUI is set to TRUE, user has to logout from the environment and login back to see the changes. Setting up Use responsive GUI to TRUE will not allow users to go back to Old design and in this case if user's needs to switch back to Old design then they need to set Use responsive GUI to False. But this is a cumbersome step to perform by the user's.

In order to avoid this go to SETUP -> General -> Applications Parameters -> Responsive GUI per user -> TRUE. When Responsive GUI per user set to TRUE individual users will be able to switch to a Responsive GUI platform; if set to FALSE they will use the GUI set by the Use responsive GUI Application Parameter. To switch between the different UI, go to User page in the Home screen and click on the button Switch to responsive design, it will take you to Responsive design and Vice-Versa.
