Summary:

 This article explains how to provide Quote Visibility access to other users.

Details:

Generally every user has access to view their quotes under My Quotes tab, but 

Managers and other top management may have to access other users quotes in Other Quotes tab. This article explains how to provide the access based on user type, company, etc..

Solution/Workaround:

Setting up Quote Visibility access

Steps:

 1) Logon to CPQ environment and go to Setup page

2) Now Go to Quotes> Quote Visibility

3) Now you will get the below page

4) Click on Add New> Now you will land on a page where you need to define the conditions.

a) Select the user to whom you want to provide access.

b) If you want to provide access all the users of a User Type then you can select the

     User type to whom you want to provide access.

  Ex: User type is  "Sales"

c) If you want to provide access to all users of a company, then you can select the

     required company.

d) If you want to restrict the access to particular user of the company ,you can select

     both User type and Company.    

      Ex : If you want to Provide access to “Sales Management” users of a “XYZ”  company then you can select user type    as  “Sales Management” and Companyas XYZ. 

 e) Even you can filter the quotes by selecting the check box in Step 2 based on

       business requirement.

  f) In Step 3, you can enter the custom condition under which selected users will able  

      to see the quotes.

5) Click on Save button.
