3235143 - History logs show aribasystem deleted subprojects. Why?

Symptom

If sub-projects are deleted, system marks an entry in the main parent project that the subproject is deleted by aribasystem. Audit logs under Site Manager do not show any information as to which user has deleted and how the projects were deleted.

Resolution

If an user with permission to mass delete projects has deleted the projects through Mass Delete option, then system records the deletion carried out by aribasystem. The end user who would have carried out the Mass Delete would not be recorded in the main project's History nor in site level audit logs.

However, this action can be confirmed by checking out Mass Delete Status that provides a log entry showing which projects are deleted.

If subprojects are deleted, then checking the history of the mainproject will show that the projects are deleted but the real and effective user will be recorded as aribasystem. In such a case, user can validate if the projects are deleted through mass delete.

To confirm if the project is deleted through Mass Delete:

1. Access Project Manager

2. Mass Delete Status

3. Check and select the logs as per the date. You will notice that the logs will show entry as to which project was deleted. User can look for the deleted the project searching with the project ID to cross-verify.
