3235403 - Error 632 with stack trace - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The following error is reported in the ASE error log:
    server  Error: 632, Severity: 20, State: 2
    server  Attempt to move memory with an incorrect length of -1060927616. Maximum allowed length is 16384.
  • The 'program' name in the extended info refers to a Java application, for example

    kernel  curcmd = 224 program = java.lang.Thread   
  • The stack trace shows ASE modules including:        

    memmove_error
    recvhost
    recvchars
    bconst
    tdsrecv_params
    tdsrecv__process_batchparam
    tdsrecv__dynexec_batch
    tdsrecv__dynexec
