Symptom
- The ASE errorlog suddenly starts reporting many signal 7 (SIGBUS) errors with stack traces
- The function names in the first stack trace appears to be random
- This is one example, but a number of different function names in Address line and stack trace can be seen
Current process (0x46090422) infected with signal 7 (SIGBUS)
Address 0x0x00000000009a83be (dcomp__ce_decode_col+0x81), siginfo (code, address) = (4, 0x0x00002abf4fc00000)
- This is one example, but a number of different function names in Address line and stack trace can be seen
- Further stack traces often include getpage_with_validation
- There may be signal 11 (SIGSEGV) interspersed between the signal 7 ones
- OS log may report
