3236218 - Error "Label YYY already assigned" When Trying to Reverse Confirmation

You are trying to reverse the Confirmation XXX, however an error is faced related to Label YYY.

XXX = Confirmation ID

YYY = Label ID

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Production Control work center.
2. Select Task Control view. 
3. Find the related Task.
4. Select Confirmations tab.
5. Open the Confirmation XXX.
6. Edit the Confirmation XXX.
7. Click Reverse Confirmation. 
8. The error is faced: 

Label YYY already assigned

You have created the Label YYY for output product in Production Lot 1 then they used this output product as input product in Production Lot 2 with same Label YYY. Now you want to reverse the Confirmation XXX for Production Lot 1 where Label is marked as Assigned in corresponding Task, so on reverse confirmation it gives error that label is already assigned, this is expected.

If the Label XXX is marked as Assigned to some Task then you cannot reverse the Confirmation related to same task directly. First you have to remove all the assigned Labels and then do the reverse confirmation:

1. Go to Production Control work center.
2. Select Task Control view. 
3. Find the related Task.
4. Open the Task. 
5. Click Confirm. 
6. Go to Output Products tab. 
7. Select Assigned Labels. 
8. Remove the Label YYY. 
9. Click Save. 

Now you should be able to reverse the Confirmation XXX:

1. Go to Production Control work center.
2. Select Task Control view. 
3. Find the related Task.
4. Select Confirmations tab.
5. Open the Confirmation XXX.
6. Edit the Confirmation XXX.
7. Click Reverse Confirmation.
