Symptom
You notice error messages when trying to create a new Tax Entry from Microsoft Excel.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Tax Management work center.
- Go to the VAT Entries View.
- Choose New Tax Entry from Microsoft Excel. The below errors appear:
"An error occurred while exporting the file:
Error ID: AP_UI_OIN 043.
Error text: There are not enough rows in the CurrencyCode code list table. Please add a line."
Cause
The template you use is an alternative older template. You can check as below:
- Go to the Application and User Management work center.
- Go to the Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.
- Search for the template named 'Manual Tax Entries Upload'.
- Select the template and click Versions.
- Select the version with status = Active, and you see the Changed On shows a past timestamp, it indicates that this is not the latest version of the template.
Resolution
To use the latest version and resolve the errors, you can:
- Go to the Application and User Management work center.
- Go to the Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.
- Search for the template named 'Manual Tax Entries Upload' in the table.
- Select the template and press Action->Change Master Data Template.
- Press Ok and the status of the template is Not Published.
- Press Versions, select the latest version and choose Revert To.
- Press OK.
Now you can download the template without errors when uploading a new VAT entry from Microsoft Excel.
