3236461 - Errors Occur When trying to Create New Tax Entry from Microsoft Excel

Symptom

You notice error messages when trying to create a new Tax Entry from Microsoft Excel.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Tax Management Work Center.
  2. Go to VAT Entries View.
  3. Click new Tax Entry from Microsoft excel, then you see below errors:

"An error occurred while exporting the file:
Error ID: AP_UI_OIN 043.
Error text: There are not enough rows in the CurrencyCode code list table. Please add a line."

Cause

The template you use is an alternative older template. You can check as below:

  1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
  2. Go to the Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.
  3. Search template name 'Manual Tax Entries Upload' in the table.
  4. Find the template and click Versions.
  5. Select the version with status Active, and you see the Changed on is a past time which means this is not the latest version of the template.

Resolution

To use the latest version and resolve the errors, you can:

  1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
  2. Go to the Microsoft Office® Template Maintenance view.
  3. Search template name 'Manual Tax Entries Upload' in the table.
  4. Find the template and press Action->Change Master Data Template.
  5. Press Ok and the status of the template is Not Published.
  6. Press Versions, select the latest version and choose Revert To.
  7. Press OK and now you can download the template without errors via new Tax Entry from Microsoft excel.
