3237395 - Unable to install the ECDA - no errors, just fails

Symptom

  • Trying to install ECDA ebf 25402 on Linux x86_64.
  • Tried to set the IATEMPDIR to another directory - since /tmp cannot execute commands.
  • Tried also to set the JAVA_HOME to the SAPJRE-7_1_011_32BIT/bin
  • But when trying to execute it just gives:
    ./setup -console
    InstallShield Wizard
    Initializing InstallShield Wizard...
    Preparing Java(tm) Virtual Machine...
    ......................................
    ....................................
    then after a while just returns to the prompt with no further information.
