3237954 - connection to AlwaysOn database failed during solman_setup

Symptom

  • "Setup DBA Cockpit connection" on step 5 'Enter System Parameters' when setting up the 'Managed System Configuration' via Solution Manager Wizard fails with:

       Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server
       Login timeout expired.
       A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.

  • SQL Server is already configured to allow remote connections.
