3239124 - Extension of business partner post employee creation.

Symptom

Below error has been encountered while maintaining roles in business partner after employee creation.

  • "E:WFD_WPI_MSG:101"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open "Maintain business partner" application.
  2. Assign role "Supplier (Fin.Accounting)".

Cause

Supplier role should be part of the employment BP and not the employee BP.

Resolution

As per the new BP model, supplier role should be part of the employment BP and not the employee BP. It is not recommended to manually create a supplier role.
