3239163 - Partial Delivery field is not set as expected in sales order

In the Create Sales Orders - VA01, the Change Sales Orders - VA02, or the Display Sales Orders - VA03 apps, you notice that the value set for Partial Delivery at Item Level field in the sales order item is not derived from the customer master data.

1. You have set the Partial Delivery at Item Level field to B in the customer master data:

2. You expect the Partial Delivery at Item Level field to be derived from the customer master data, however, the field is blank in the sales order item:

This happens because the customer master data settings are overwritten by the customer material info record from the Manage Customer Materials app:

You can change the setting for the Partial Delivery per Item field in the Manage Customer Materials app for the respective customer material.

After setting set Partial Delivery per Item field in the Manage Customer Materials app, when creating a new sales order, the Part.Dlv./Item field will be derived from the respective entry in the Manage Customer Materials app.
