• During system update using Software update manager (SUM) in  phase PREP_INPUT_CHECK/SUBMOD_KERNEL_SCAN_TOOLCHK_PRE/SUBMOD_KERNEL_SCAN_TOOLCHK_NONSERIAL/TOOLCHECKXML_EXE  the following error is reported:
• CHECKS.LOG contains:

  There is an issue with the Tools Consistency Check.
  There are four consistency checks of the tools regarding
    * Release
    * DBMS Client
    * Make Variant
    * Unicodeness
  The consistency check regarding Make Variant failed with the error:
    
    * * "There is an inconsistency regarding 'makevariant': it ranges from 749
      (brconnect) to 753 (disp+work)" *
  Make sure that the tools are consistent, i.e. of the same Release, DBMS Client,
  Make Variant, and Unicodeness!
