How does the candidate type column in the candidate workbench determine the Candidate Type?

Candidate Type has three possible entries:

• Internal:
  
  • If a candidate is an internal user they will be given the candidate type Internal regardless of applying directly, being forwarded, etc.
    
    
• External:
  
  • If a candidate has applied externally or has been forwarded as an external candidate they will be given the candidate type of External. External type also is provided to the candidate when an agency ownership has expired for the candidate and they now have self ownership, source details remain unchanged indicating the agency that initially sent the candidate.
    
    
• Agency:
  
  • If a candidate is forwarded to a Job Requisition they will have the candidate type Agency. This will remain the case if Agency Ownership is set to "Ownership for requisition" in Provisioning -> Company settings. If "Ownership for duration" is selected in Provisioning -> Company Settings, the candidate type will remain as Agency until the duration of the ownership period has expired, the period is determined by the setting Candidate ownership: found in Set up Agency Access for the respective Agency.
