3240138 - How to remove attachment objects from a message in Cloud Integration using a script

Symptom

There is a need to remove attachment objects from a message being processed in SAP Cloud Integration. Common scenarios where this is required include:

  • The content of an incoming attachment has been moved to the message body, and the original attachment object must be cleared to avoid duplication.
  • The target endpoint does not accept messages with attachments.
  • A message size error occurs because Cloud Integration is transmitting the same content twice, once in the message body and once as an attached object.
