Symptom
- After upgrading to ASE 16 SP04 SP04 and higher
- Errors are returned that the connection is READONLY
- Examples of such errors:
- java.sql.SQLException: Failed to execute COMMIT TRANSACTION, because this is a read-only connection. Read-only connections can only execute SELECT statements. Use 'set readonly off' to execute COMMIT TRANSACTION.
- com.sybase.jdbc3.jdbc.SybSQLException: Failed to execute ROLLBACK TRANSACTION, because this is a read-only connection. Read-only connections can only execute SELECT statements. Use 'set readonly off' to execute ROLLBACK TRANSACTION.
- com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybSQLException: Failed to execute DROP PROCEDURE, because this is a read-only connection. Read-only connections can only execute SELECT statements. Use 'set readonly off' to execute DROP PROCEDURE.
- java.sql.SQLException: Failed to execute COMMIT TRANSACTION, because this is a read-only connection. Read-only connections can only execute SELECT statements. Use 'set readonly off' to execute COMMIT TRANSACTION.
