3241152 - Addition/subtraction of integer to/from date gives incorrect result - SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services

Symptom

  • The following error occurs while adding/subtracting an integer to/from date:

    Cannot add expression <<date column>)> to expression <<integer column>>. Their types are not compatible. Change the expression data types to be numeric.

  • The integer column added/subtracted to/from the date column is originally not integer (e.g. varchar), it was converted to integer data type by mapping to an integer column in a transform (implicit conversion).
