3241314 - Search based on Customer or Project Manager in Plan Customer/Internal Projects apps

After the SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2308 upgrade, users are not able to search for projects using customer name or project manager name in the Plan Customer Projects or Plan Internal Projects apps.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Go to the app Plan Customer Projects or Plan Internal Projects.
2. Search for projects using customer name or project manager name.
3. The search does not returen any result.

The feature of searching for projects based on customer or project manager name in the Plan Customer Projects or Plan Internal Projects has been delivered with SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208.1 (HFC07) in October 2022.

Before the planned feature is delivered, you may do the following:

• Use the enterprise search on your launchpad and search using business objects Customer Project or Internal Project and navigate from the search result.
  Refer to sample screenshot of enterprise search in attachment.

After the feature is delivered on CE2208:

• You must use the Activate New Features app and activate the feature Plan Customer Projects, Plan Internal Projects apps: Search for projects using customer name and project manager name (/CPD/CA_CPD_SS_PLAN_APP_SEARCH).
• Users may experience a delay in the display of search results within the Plan Customer Projects and Plan Internal Projects apps.

After the upgrade on CE2308:

• As the app Activate New Features has been deprecated, you'll need the configuration Activate Features to activate the feature Plan Customer Projects, Plan Internal Projects apps: Search for projects using customer name and project manager name (/CPD/CA_CPD_SS_PLAN_APP_SEARCH).
  You must first assign the business catalog Feature Toggles - Configuration (SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_FTG_PC) to the Configuration Expert - Business Process Configuration (SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT) role. 
  Then refer to below steps depending on your system environment.
• 2SL:
  Activate Features is available in the app Manage Your Solution.
  Search for SSCUI: 106573 - Activate Features and you'll find it.
• 3SL:
  Activate Features is available in the app Implementation Activities.

  >>> System Administration
  >>>> Activate Features
  Note: After starting the app Implementation Activities, make sure that the root node of the tree is called SAP Customizing Implementation Guide. If not, select Menu > Implementation Activities > Change Hierarchy > SAP Reference IMG from the main menu. 

If you do not wish to activate this feature:

• You may continue to use the enterprise search to find projects using the customer name or the project manager name.
