3241394 - No access to QuickModel for hub users with read rights

Symptom

Can a hub user with read rights use Quickmodel?

Resolution

No. Please note that a user cannot use QuickModel until the following requirements are met:

  • Under Setup > Configure the Collaboration Hub, select "Enable view switching for Hub license users".
Without the appropriate configuration, QuickModel will not launch in the Shared Documents folder.
  • If a Hub user wants to create or edit a QuickModel, e.g. in the "Shared Documents" folder, at least the "Edit" permission is required for this.
  • In addition, users who are to use QuickModel need the group functionality to be allowed to edit processes in general (Setup > Manage Access Rights > User Groups tab > Features "Process Manager - Edit Processes").

Please note that with the edit right for the "Shared Documents" folder you can also edit already existing processes.
