3242160 - Timeslice errors when NUMA is enabled - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The ASE errorlog show continual timeslice errors
  • The Linux OS host running ASE is NUMA-enabled (he NUMA service is activated)
  • Corresponding entries in the numad.log are seen at the same time as when the timeslice errors are logged in the ASE errorlog.
     Entries in the numad.log look like:

    ..16:41:18 2022: Tried to move PID 3433102, but 24 pages would not move.
    ..16:41:18 2022: PID 3433102 moved to node(s) 0-2 in 143.42 seconds
