Symptom

The Location field value shows incorrect values upon every search under Employee Directory Advanced Search

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate using the drop-down to Company Info > Directory > Advanced Search.
  2. Select any value in the Department field > Search.
  3. The 'Location' field shows incorrect value.
  4. Click 'Back to Search'.
  5. Search the same department field > Search.
  6. The 'Location' field shows a different value.

Cause

Missing Field Criteria for the field Location added in Manage Business Configuration(BCUI).

Resolution

  1. There are several associations defined from location and for these associations, the field criteria are missing.
  2. See the results for MissingFieldCriteriaCheck from Check Tool. Go to Admin Center > Employee Central Core > Association > Run Check.
  3. Therefore, no filtering is executed and could also lead to wrong results in the Directory Search. 
  4. Maintain the missing field criteria in Manage Business Configuration(BCUI) as shown in the Check tool result.
  5. Go to Directory > Advanced Search > Search for value of department , the results will be correct and no longer inconsistent.
