3242262 - SSL certificate for the Signavio connector to SAP Solution Manager 7.2

Symptom

In SAP Solution Manager connector in Signavio I need to upload an SSL certificate. The reason is, I want to configure a secure connection (HTTPS) to my SAP Solution Manager server instance and this server instance is authenticated with a self-signed SSL (X.509) certificate. How do I get the correct certificate?

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Resolution

You can download the corresponding certificate from the page that is to be entered as URL in the field "Address of SAP Solution Manager instance". To do this, please call up this address in an Internet browser. Please click on the lock icon in the address bar, then on "Certificate" > tab "Details" > "Copy to file" > "Next". Then select the option "Base - 64 - encoded X.509 (.CER)", then click "Next". Afterwards, please select the storage location and name the file. The file name can be freely chosen. You can use the certificate file created in this way in the configuration of the connector.

Please note that the procedure described above may vary slightly depending on your browser.
