3242264 - ATP and Ship-From Name are Cleared When A New Line is Added to a Sales Order

Symptom

In the new Sales Order screen, ATP and Ship-from name are cleared when a second row is added.

Environment

 SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Order work center.
  2. Select new Sales Orders in Common Tasks.
  3. Select Account ABC (Where ABC represents the Account ID).
  4. Add Product DEF (Where DEF represents a Product ID).
  5. Click on Add Row.
  6. Add Product GHI (Where GHI represents the ID of the second Product which does not have a Price List).

You notice that ATP is grayed-out and Ship-from is emptied on both lines.

Cause

This happens when Product GHI does not have a Price maintained.

This means that when this Product is added to the Sales Order, error "Mandatory List Price missing for the Price Calculation" is raised, which causes the Sales Order to be inconsistent, therefore the ATP cannot be calculated.

Resolution

In order for ATP and Ship-from to be redetermined you need to maintain a valid Price:

  7. Add a value to the List Price field.
