Symptom
Is it possible to set up access for Collaboration Hub users to view unpublished content in Signavio? For example, models going through the Approval WF process.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Resolution
Yes, it is possible for a user with a Hub license to see unpublished content.
Hub licenses are part of the Suite license model, that was implemented October 2019.
If you have Corporate or Ultimate licenses, please contact your sales representative.
To allow Hub users to see unpublished content, 2 actions need to be taken.
- Assign Hub users R(ead) access rights to the folder containing the unpublished models
- Activate "Enable view switch for Hub license users" in the Hub configuration settings.
Assign Hub users R(ead) access rights
Navigate to: Setup > Manage Users & Access Rights > Access Rights
Assign the Hub users R(ead) rights to the folder containing the unpublished models.
When a user has the H(ub) access right on a folder, they can see all published models in the published revision in the folder.
When a user has the R(ead) access right as well, they can see also see unpublished models and newer revisions of the models in the folder.
Activate "Enable view switch for Hub license users"
By default, the links for Hub users for the Explorer and the Preview-Hub are not displayed.
To allow the links to be seen by Hub users, navigate to: Setup > Edit SAP Signavio Process Collaboration Hub configuration > Enable view switch for Hub license users.
Tick the checkbox.
Then click Save.
