3242906 - Accruals run only for the first two years from Hire date for a Backdated Hire


  • A time account type has been configured to run on a daily basis.
  • Hired an employee with Hire date in the past : Example 24th Aug 2002. But the accrual has been created only for the first two years from the hire date i.e., till 24th Aug 2004.
  • The Expectation is that the accrual should run till today's date.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure a Time account type with daily accruals set to automatic accrual creation.
  2. Create a new Hire with a past date : 24th Aug 2002.
  3. The Automatic accruals have been created only for the first 2 years


This is an expected behavior on the Product.


  • If a Past-dated hire is made, accruals are created automatically only for the first 2 years after hire.
  • Afterwards, a manual change calendar needs to be run via Manage Data > Create New > Time Account Change Calendar, this is possible in 2 year blocks (via Manage Time Off Calendars, you can only do it for 1 year blocks and need to start every day separately).
