3243261 - Filter in Excel Report Does not Work

Symptom

You have opened a report via the Excel add-in. You mark a specific value in Excel which you would like to filter for. Clicking on the 'Set Filter for the Current Report' icon (next to the Selection icon) has no effect on the result, the data is not filtered.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign, Excel Add-In
  • SAP Cloud for Customer, Excel Add-In

Cause

You are using dynamic paging in your Excel report. This feature cannot be used in conjunction with Excel filters.

Resolution

Please switch off dynamic paging by following these steps:

  1. In Excel, go to the ByDesign or Cloud for Customer tab.
  2. Click Show / Hide > Dynamic Paging.
  3. Untick the box for dynamic paging.
  4. Close and reopen Excel.
