You upload the New Expense and Income Statement Plan, error "XXXXXX is balance sheet acct and cannot be planned as income and expense acct" occurs. And you are sure the G/L Account XXXXXX is a revenue account.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to Cost and Revenue Work Center.
2. Go to Planning View.
3. Click New->Plan Version from Microsoft Excel.
4. Select New Expense And Income Statement Plan and click Download.
5. Open the Excel and enter all necessary data, then logon to SAP Business ByDesign in the Excel.
6. Click Save data to ..., error "XXXXXX is balance sheet acct and cannot be planned as income and expense acct" occurs(XXXXXX is the G/L Account).

To verify the G/L account type of XXXXXX, you can:

1. Go to Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Go to Overview View.
3. Search and open Activity Editing Chart of Accounts.
4. In the G/L Account table, filter G/L Account XXXXXX, the G/L Account type is REVGAN - Revenues or gains.

In this case, there are typos in the Company ID or Set of Book ID.

Make sure the Company ID and Set of Book ID are correct and the same as what in the system.
