Symptom

Can't find Workflow related table when starting a Story query with MDF object.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Report Center
  2. Create a new Story report
  3. Select any MDF/custom MDF
  4. See that it won't be possible to find the Workflow related table

Cause

Pending Data field configured as 'No' on the Object Definition.

Resolution

  1. Go to Configure Object Definition
  2. Select Object Definition and search for the object you are trying to report
  3. Click on Take Action > Make Correction
  4. Change the value of the Pending Data field from No to Yes
  5. Click on Save
  6. Check reporting, the Workflow related table will appear now

Note : If MDF object (Standard or Custom) is defined under a custom schema (in Manage Data -> Report Object Configuration Entity), then currently, a join is not available from the custom MDF to the workflow object.
