3244427 - "Create Measurement Document" & "Change Measurement Documents" apps display posting time by default in UTC - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • "Create Measurement Document" & "Change Measurement Documents" apps display posting time by default in UTC 
  • The field MeasTime ( Measurement Time ) is not showing the time in the users local time 
  • Popup with 'Measurement time cannot be in the future' when adjusting the field MeasTime ( Measurement Time ) to the local time of a user in the app "Create Measurement Document"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the app Create Measurement Document ( App ID IK11 ) or Change Measurement Documents ( App ID IK18 )
  2. Change the field MeasTime ( Measurement Time ) to the local time of the user

Cause

Create Measurement Document(IK11) and Change Measurement Documents(IK18) are GUI for HTML apps. GUI for HTML apps always take the system timezone and do not read the Fiori Launchpad timezone even though they run within the FLP.

Resolution

Please follow the KBA 2840635 and submit a feature request if you would like the functionality added in a future Release
